How to make it

Cut out one side of the milk carton. Then cut it in half.

Draw a circle to the carton with the cap.

Draw it bit lower that the center.

Draw the face and the tail of the turtle.

Draw the neck and tail bit long because you push it in the cap.

Draw arms and legs long too.

Cut along the line.

It’ll be like this picture above.

Put the turtle in the cap.

Push it in tightly.

Draw the face. Finished!

The turtle is made of the milk carton, so it is waterproof.

You can play with it in the bath.

Know-how and the points

When there is no ditch inside the cap, the milk carton turtle won’t come off easily.

So, the non-ditch cap is useful.

In the picture above, the left two caps don’t have the ditch, and the right two have.

Variety of the game

You can play “Scooping Turtles Game.” with a plastic spoon like the picture.

Things we use

500ml plastic drink bottle, a permanent marker, a cutter, scissors

How to make it

Draw a line (about 5cm from the nose to the bottom) to cut off, on the bottle.Then,draw a frog’s face.

Cut off the under parts of the bottle.

Cut along the line with scissors.

If you use a round shaped plastic bottle, it’ll be more like a frog.

Fold the frog’s body in half and crease it well.

Fold the feet part forward in half and crease.

When you see from the side, it looks like “Z” shape.

Finished!

Press down the bottom of the frog with your finger.

When you press downwards and flick it, the frog will jump high.

It jumps diagonally about 50cm.

How to make it

Incise to the middle half of the toilet paper tube as the picture below.

Incise eight places and make eight octopus legs.

Wrap the legs to a marker and make them curl.

Draw a face. Finished!

How to make the air gun

Put the gummed tapes tight to the cardboard box, so that the air doesn’t leak out.

Make a hole.

Draw a 10 centimeters in diameter circle to one side of the box.

Cut out the hole with a cutter.

Finished!

Strike the both sides of the box, then the air will come out vigorously.

Know-how and the points

Be careful, not to cut yourself using the cutter.

Use cotton gloves when you use the cutter.

Things we use

A 500ml plastic bottle, a big balloon, a plastic tape, a cutter, and scissors

How to make the toy

Cut off the bottom part of the plastic bottle.

Be careful, not to cut your fingers!

Cut off one-third of the balloon.

Cover the balloon to the bottom of the plastic bottle.

Stick the plastic tape to the bottle and the balloon firmly.

When you wrap the tape, the “Plastic Bottle Air Gun” is finished.

How to play

Hold the plastic bottle with one hand.

Pull the balloon with the other hand.

When you let go the balloon, the air will burst out vigorously.

Now-how and the points

It is useful when you inflate the balloon and stretch the rubber before using it.

Cut the plastic bottle in clean cut face, or the balloon might burst.

After cutting off with the cutter, you better cut off the unnecessary part with scissors.

It’s better to drop the powder off the balloon and then, wrap the plastic tape.
